Photo facial/ Intense pulsed light (IPL)

IPL works like a laser, safely heating and destroying unwanted cells. But the system uses a broad-spectrum of light rather just one wavelength — providing another tool in our arsenal against bothersome skin conditions.

Our light-based therapy provides a gentle but effective option for rejuvenating the skin on your face, neck, arms, hands or chest. It can also treat some spider or varicose veins. You’ll achieve results marked by:

  • Consistency
  • Permanency
  • No downtime
  • Little discomfort
  • Minimal risk

Conditions Treated with Pulsed Light

Acne scars:

Deep acne breakouts can leave scars behind — bumps, pinpricks or small depressions with wavy edges or sharp corners.

Acne rosacea:

Rosacea is a common condition known for facial redness — but it can spread elsewhere, too, and cause other problems.

Skin spots:

Sun exposure can cause red or brown spots like freckles, age spots and liver spots — damage our treatments can remove.

Spider veins:

Some blood vessels look like spider webs and are vascular lesions — conditions that include hemangiomas and port wine stains.

Varicose veins:

Varicose veins are swollen blood vessels that appear purple or red and twisted, usually on the legs.

Before and After Photos

Following pulsed light therapy, you should apply:

  • A cold compress or ice pack to the treated area if it’s warm, for 10 to 20 minutes each hour — usually only needed for the first 12 to 24 hours
  • Vaseline 3 to 4 times daily to skin that has eroded or blistered
  • Sunblock with SPF 30 or greater on a daily basis during treatment and for 3 months afterward, to help prevent color or pigment changes.

Results from pulsed light treatment

After receiving pulsed light therapy, you will gradually see a more even skin color and improvement in problems like sun damage, facial flushing and swollen veins.

If you have visible signs of aging, you can expect smoother skin, relief from fine wrinkles and more uniform coloring. Even after the first treatment, your skin is likely to feel smoother and have a more even tone.
